Lowering of Flags to Half-Mast

In accordance with the District of Lillooet’s Flag Raisings and Flag Protocol Policy AD.32©, all flags at District facilities and properties will be flown at half-mast on September 30th in observance of Truth and Reconciliation Day.

This day is dedicated to honoring the survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities, and to acknowledging the ongoing impacts of these institutions. By lowering our flags, we pay our respects and reflect on the importance of reconciliation and the need for continued efforts towards healing and understanding.
