Emergency Room Closure - September 24, 2024

The District of Lillooet has been notified that the Emergency Department at Lillooet Hospital will be closed from 7 PM tonight until 8 AM tomorrow morning.

The District’s taxpayers cannot continue to bear the costs associated with additional staff wages and issuing Voyent Alerts. Consequently, the District will no longer provide Voyent Alerts for these closures.

The District of Lillooet shares our community’s grave concerns over these closures and we pledge to continue trying to work with Interior Health so that they can come up with a solution that will ensure the health and safety of our community.
