What is the Lillooet Community Fund?
Established in 2007, the Lillooet Community Fund is an endowment fund established to improve the social, cultural, artistic, educational, and recreational well-being of the residents of Lillooet.
A community fund is a collection of charitable gifts both large and small. These gifts are pooled and invested and the investment income is distributed as grants to local non-profit organizations. The capital is never touched, continues to grow with each new gift, generating income to meet a wide range of community interests, and needs for years to come.
While the fund will continue to grow through private donations, the interest earned will be used to fund grant applications from community organizations for projects that will benefit our residents, leaving a lasting legacy for our community.
