  • PAR Q (The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone)
    When you take part in any fitness activity you will be asked to either complete a PAR-Q, read the large poster version of the form, or complete and print the form here: PAR-Q Questionnaire. This form is designed to identify people for whom a change in physical activity may pose a risk.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Effective Monday July 13, 2020 the Lillooet & District REC Centre will reopen for weight room use, room rentals and limited programs.

Lillooet & District REC Centre Re-Opening Plan 

 

COVID-19 operational adjustments:

  • Building Hours: 7:00am-8:00pm Monday to Friday during the initial phase of reopening.
  •  Members-only use of weight room: the weight room will only be open to holders of a 1 month or greater REC centre membership. This will allow controlled access and contact tracing in the event of exposure. All members must sign in at the office before proceeding to the weight room so we can collect contact information. Evening users must record their name and phone number on the sign in sheet provided. 
  • For the safety of our patrons there will be a maximum of 6 (six) people allowed in the weight room at one time, two per room. Please be patient and respect time limits on equipment.
  • Change rooms are available but please come dressed to workout. Lockers and showers will not be available. 
  • Time Limit: All weight room users must limit their workouts to no more than one (1) hour per session and only one session per day. If the weight room becomes too busy and users cannot be accommodated we may have to implement a schedule for all users.
  • REC Centre staff will perform a thorough cleaning of the facility twice per day including high contact areas. All users are expected to use the provided disinfectant spray bottles and paper towel to clean their equipment before and after use. Users will be given one warning for ignoring hygiene protocols and may have their privileges revoked for a subsequent failure to comply.
  • Squash Court: due to the difficulty of physcial distancing and high  risk of transmission during the game, squash will not be allowed unless the players are from the same household. The squash court will be available for individuals who wish to practice their skills alone.
  • Bouldering Wall: Due to the difficulty of properly cleaning and disinfecting the holds and mats, the bouldering wall will remain closed.
  • Gymnasium: open for drop-in use by individuals. Users must sign in first at the office or with the custodian. Basketball players must bring their own ball, one ball per player. No one-on-one play or scrimmages. Players should wash their hands before and after play.
  • Public Showers: Change room showers are not available for use by members of the public on a drop-in basis.
We ask that you do not enter the Lillooet REC Centre if you feel ill, if you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, or if you have recently returned from outside the country. Please practice physical distancing and good hygiene. Please be patient and respectful towards other patrons and staff.
