PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 5 pm

ZONING BYLAW TEXT AMENDMENT: CARRIAGE HOMES, MINIMUM LOT FRONTAGE, RESIDENTIAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE FRONT SETBACK
The subject of the Public Hearing will be Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 2023-015.
The purpose of Bylaw No. 2023-015 is to make targeted text amendments with the goal of reducing barriers to residential development ahead of the new zoning bylaw which is many months away from adoption.
The amending bylaw proposes to permit
carriage homes, also known as accessory detached dwelling units, in the
RR-1, RR-2, and
AGR zones, on lots of sufficient size based on servicing. The bylaw proposes increasing the maximum floor area of a carriage house from 90m
2 to 125 m
2. The bylaw also proposes to permit accessory residential suites in the AGR zone.
The amending bylaw proposes delegating the power to approve
lot frontages of less than 10% of the perimeter of the lot to the Approving Officer, as permitted by Section 512 of the Local Government Act.
The amending bylaw also proposes to change the
minimum front setback for residential accessory buildings and structures from 3.0m behind the principal structure to 3.0m from the front lot line for all residential zones.

online as well as at the District Office, 615 Main St, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-12pm and 1pm-4:30pm, or can be requested at
info@lillooet.ca. Council will consider the zoning amendments at the Regular Meeting on
Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 5pm.
All persons who believe their interest is affected by the proposed zoning amendment shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard in person, by a representative, or by written submission on the matters contained within the proposed amendment bylaw at the Public Hearing.

4pm on September 5, 2023. All submissions must include your name and street address and are considered public information, pursuant to the

Council is not permitted to hear any further comments regarding the proposed bylaw upon the completion of the Public Hearing.
