The Chief Election Officer will be hiring the following positions for the 2022 General Local Election. 

All Election Workers must be available to work on Election Day - Saturday, October 15, 2022. 

Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour

POSITIONS

Registration Officers:
  responsible for registering Resident and Non-Resident Electors, verifying identifications, explaining the voting process, issuing ballots and assisting with the ballot counting.
 
Traffic Officers:  responsible for removing campaign signage from within 100m of the voting place, directing voters to the registration table, directing voters from the voting booths to the ballot boxes, making sure voters leave the voting area after they vote and assisting with the ballot counting, and facilitating any COVID-19 safety protocols that may be applicable at the time. 

Employment Eligibilty 
  • Be 18 years of age or older;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada;
  • Be responsible for their own transportation to and from the voting place;
  • Attend a mandatory training session (Date to be determined);
  • Not be related to any candidate running for office in the general election;
  • Not be actively working for any election campaign or any candidate; and
  • Be available to work extended hours for the Advance Voting Opportunity on Wednesday October 5, 2022 and on Election Day – Saturday, October 15, 2022.
