ZONING AMENDMENTS TO ZONE 211 & 227 HILL CREST RD AS CD-1 TO OPERATE A SENIORS CARE FACILITY AND ALLOW CARRIAGE HOUSE AT 101 HORSEBEEF TERR (SITE-SPECIFIC)

The subject of the Public Hearing will be Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaws No. 2021-032 and 2021-028. 

The purpose of Bylaw No. 2021-032 is to change the zoning of 211 and 227 Hill Crest Rd, legally described as Lot 2 Plan KAP38298 District Lot 1116 and 1588 Land District 27 and Lot 5 Block 4 Plan KAP7041 District Lot 1588 Land District 27, from Community and R-1 zoning respectively to a Comprehensive Development (CD-1) zone in order to operate a Seniors Care Facility.

Riverview Retirement Community will consist of a main building with 36 accessible assisted living suites and community amenity areas including a salon, medical facility, kitchen (with cold and dry storage), administration, dining room, lobby/reception, fitness studio, spa, and hot tub.
There will also be an independent living building containing 20 units with a U-shaped courtyard design. A third building will provide staff housing with an additional 15 units.

The purpose of Bylaw No. 2021-028 is to approve a site-specific rezoning of 101 Horsebeef Terr to allow a carriage house to be built serviced by private well water and sewer system, to address the siting of accessory residential units and to permit an accessory residential unit to increase in height from 4.0 metres to 4.8 metres.

Copies of the bylaws are available for inspection online (see column to the right) as well as at the District Office, 615 Main Street, during regular business hours, or can be requested by email at info@lillooet.ca. Council for the District of Lillooet will, at the Regular Meeting on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 5 pm, consider the zoning amendments.
 
All persons who believe their interest is affected by the proposed zoning amendments shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard in person, by a representative, or by written submission on the matters contained within the proposed amendment bylaws at the Public Hearing.

Written submissions may be sent to the District of Lillooet, Box 610, Lillooet, BC V0K IV0.  Electronic submissions by email should be sent to ktaylor@lillooet.ca. These submissions must be received by 4:30 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in order to ensure their availability to Council at the Public Hearing. All submissions must include your name and street address and are considered public information, pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Council is not permitted to hear any further comments regarding the proposed bylaws upon the completion of the Public Hearing.
